Working with Amanda Brooks is always a joy. Her creative world, steeped in the English countryside, finds a natural rhythm with my own Austrian heritage, where knitting has long been a language of love and tradition. Each year, Amanda and I begin with an idea: a shared vision of warmth, color, and nostalgia. We sketch, select yarns, choose hues that recall winter landscapes, and shape designs that feel timeless. I still knit the very first sample of every new style myself, letting the story take shape stitch by stitch.
Once the design is ready, I collaborate with women's knitting collectives in Romania, where this craft remains an art form passed down through generations. Every cardigan and sweater carries its touch — hours of care, patience, and joy.
