CUTTER BROOKS x MICHAELA BUERGER - Precious hand-knit pieces

We are delighted to introduce our new collaboration with Cutter Brooks - who showcases the most beautiful selection of home, fashion and gifts, inspired by the countryside - curated by Amanda Brooks.

 

We created a unique collection of precious hand-knitted and embroidered pieces, which are inspired by Austrian Tracht knitwear.

Tracht clothing can be recognized by their specific shapes, colours, and decorative elements.

 

According to Michaela, Knitting should "warm-up” -  that's the primary purpose. At the same time, it should decorate. Her ancestors, both women and men, adhered to this basic rule. These particular styles developed over centuries, and they differ enormously according to the region and to the valley in Austria from where they originated.

Each piece of this collection is produced in collaboration with collectives of women - in Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Austria, and Bosnia and Herzegovina - whose mission is to achieve economic and social empowerment.
